Emily
Emily Wegert, LSW
Emily works well adults of all ages and backgrounds who may come from religious trauma and constricted or repressive environments where your authentic, whole self, emotions, and identity had to be masked for survival or acceptance. She holds particular appreciation for the complex, lived experiences of women, queer identifying, and LGBTQIA+ folks, those struggling with body image, and folks searching for identity outside of limiting societal expectations. Her focus is to support you in finding balance with yourself and in your relationships as you build self-esteem, explore your personal identity, and learn to reconnect with your body, feelings, and intuition.
Emmy focuses on mind, body, and spirit integration while using principals from treatment modalities such as Cognitive behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Relational Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Somatic Therapy to encourage synchronicity of one's expression, emotions, esteem, and overall identity. Emmy's approach supports folks in forming and strengthening meaningful connections with others for those who are navigating trauma and relationship patterns that make connection and relationships difficult to form and maintain. She prioritizes unlearning harmful patterns while developing practical coping tools to empower you to show up authentically. Emmy is committed to supporting you in exploring and expressing YOU, integrating connection to your body, spirituality, and intuition.
Emily is committed to supporting adults of all identities and walks of life re-discover their core selves beyond depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, conflict navigation, unsupportive coping patterns/behaviors, and the weight of a fast-paced, ever-demanding world. Emily particularly enjoys working with young adults and women and femmes, but is capable and excited to connect client's of all ages and identities.
